Car door scratches and key marks
Car doors pick up scratches from nearby doors, bags, keys and tight parking spaces. Marks beneath a handle, a single line across a door or a scraped rear quarter can look similar in a photo but need different work. We assess the depth and position before recommending a repair.
Hedge and tree-branch scratches
A narrow lane or overgrown parking space can leave fine scratches along the side of a car. Light marks limited to the clear coat may respond to polishing. Scratches through the colour layer can require preparation and repainting. A long scratch across several panels is assessed as a multi-panel job, not promised as a small touch-up.
Paint transfer or damaged paint?
A mark after a light scrape may include paint from another surface as well as damage to your own finish. Removing the transferred material and repairing a scratch are not necessarily the same job. Send a clear photograph before trying an abrasive product that could make the finish harder to restore.
What affects the cost of a scratch repair?
The depth of the scratch, the paint finish and the number of affected panels matter more than the length alone. A mark around a door handle and a keyed line across two doors are different jobs. Your quote explains the proposed work before you decide.
Repair the right area, in the right way
For suitable damage, a mobile SMART repair focuses on the affected area rather than treating every scratch as a full respray. Most suitable cosmetic repairs take 2–4 hours at your home or workplace across Kent. Deeper, larger or multi-panel damage can take longer; the proposed work and timing are explained with your quote.
